Frederick Nance, DDS

Dr. Nance, a North Carolina native, completed his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, North Carolina in 1972. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of North Carolina in 1976 with highest honors in pathology. He was awarded a Morehead Fellowship for his postdoctoral residency training at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a Master of Science degree, completing his training in 1981. He has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery since 1981.

Dr. Nance was elected by his peers to represent North Carolina oral & maxillofacial surgeons for 10 years as a delegate to the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons House of Delegates, where he also served as a District Caucus and Reference Committee Chairman. He has served as President of the North Carolina and Southeastern Societies of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He was elected to Fellowship in the American College of Dentists in 2000.

Dr. Nance’s clinical interests include pathology, dento-alveolar surgery and facial trauma. He enjoys boating and water sports activities with his family, hunting, and antique automobiles.
