J. Thomas Meadows DDS
Dr. J. Thomas Meadows is a native of Charleston, West Virginia. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of West Virginia and also received his dental degree from the University of West Virginia. After dental school, Dr. Meadows completed a one year program in anesthesiology. He received his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Meadows began private practice in Jacksonville and over time established the practices in Goldsboro and Morehead City. Dr. Meadows is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a member of the Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a member and past president of the North Carolina Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a member of the American Dental Association. He has privileges at Onslow Memorial Hospital and has served on numerous hospital committees.
Dr. Meadows is also involved in community affairs. He is on the Board of Directors for the Coastal Carolina Community College Foundation, a member of the local Board of Directors for First Citizens Bank, and a member and Past President of the Jacksonville Rotary Club.
In addition to these professional and civic responsibilities, Dr. Meadows enjoys farming, hunting golf and boating. He and his wife Courtney have two children.
